Damon is a strategic leader with over 20 years of professional experience both in the for-profit (private) and public-sectors. He will assume a new position of Vice President Integration & Chief Information Officer for the Good Samaritan Society (head office - Edmonton), April 20th, 2015. He is currently finishing his post as Director of Educational & Information Technologies at NorQuest College Edmonton. At NorQuest College, he functions as Chief Information Officer and leads a multidisciplinary team of staff and contracted consulting firms to achieve enterprise-wide strategic goals. This involves more than deploying information and communication technologies but requires transforming staff behaviors and changing processes needed to improve and sustain strategic outcomes. Prior to joining NorQuest 3.5 years ago, Damon assumed leadership roles for Alberta Health Services, Capital Health (Edmonton), the University of Alberta, and a pension-fund administration company all of which involved measurement, analytics, technology and business process improvement to address relevant business or medical/clinical research problems. Damon was also founder and President of Empirika Consulting Corp., an Edmonton based company that integrated analytics and business process improvement principles to address important business and research problems.

Damon has a B.Sc., in Mathematics (advanced), M.Sc., in Statistics, and has earned two chartered designations related to professional practice: Professional Statistician, P.Stat., (Canada) and Chartered Statistician C.Stat., (United Kingdom).
