ABCampus is a student group at the U of A focused on providing students with professional and career development as well as entrepreneurial opportunities. Our aim is to connect students with each other, across disciplines, as well as with industry professionals, to help foster relationships on campus and between students and industry. Through collaboration with professionals and students, we hope to support professional and career development of students.

ABCampus envisions a province of post-secondary students who have built lasting relationships and created professional opportunities, and who are aware of all the opportunities available to them.

Your contribution and support for this event will generate increased awareness of your organization and provide you with the opportunity to interact and connect with bright initiative-taking graduate students. It will also show delegates your organization’s commitment to advanced education and career development in Alberta.

This conference will take place on March 28, 2015 at the University of Alberta from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. The event will closely mirror the format of a research conference. Sessions will be 60 minutes in length and feature 3-4 panelists. Each panelist is invited to give a 5 to 10 minute introduction, after which the session will break-out into smaller group discussions. Small group discussions will be used to promote conversations between speakers and students.

This conference is targeted at University of Alberta graduate students. It will focus on resource and skill development, as well as career path planning. It aims to provide opportunities to develop and enhance networking skills, expand and promote existing skill sets with an emphasis on transferable skills, and to facilitate opportunities to share, discuss, and provide resources that assist in the job search.
